First of all, a swaddle wrap provides comfort and safety, giving a soft, warm wrapping in a limited space that reminds newborns of their mother’s womb. Thanks to proper wrapping, your little one can fall asleep better and sleep more calmly, which is crucial in the first months of life. In addition, a swaddle wrap is invaluable support for young parents in holding their baby correctly.

Yes, a baby swaddle wrap can be used successfully in summer (unless it is exceptionally hot, >26 degrees). It is worth paying attention to the material it is made of, though. Muslin and cotton swaddle wraps made of natural fibres are an excellent choice for warmer days, because they are airy and light, which lets your baby’s skin breathe. It is important to always monitor your little one’s comfort and adjust the wrapping to the prevailing conditions, to ensure maximum comfort and enjoyment in the summer months while preventing overheating and chafing.

A swaddle wrap can be used from the first days of life, right after birth. It is important to wash it before first use and before taking it to the hospital. The ColorStories baby swaddle is sewn from hypoallergenic materials with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate, so you can be sure that it contains no harmful substances and is safe for babies’ skin.

A swaddle wrap is one of the safest coverings for newborns. Many midwives recommend swaddle wraps, and hospitals often have them on their layette lists for birth and use them as a baby’s first covering. It is important, however, not to leave your little one alone while using a swaddle wrap and other sleep coverings, and to make sure they are not wrapped too tightly.

Usually a swaddle wrap can be used from birth for a few months, depending on your child’s development. It is often recommended to use a swaddle wrap at most until the baby starts to roll over on their own, that is until about 4–5 months. Swaddle wraps are usually used most intensively during the first 3 months.
